Job Summary
- Our client is seeking an experienced Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Insightsto provide strategic and technical leadership across M&E, data analysis, programme intelligence, and data quality.
- The role will lead the Data Insights function, translating complex programme data intoactionable insights for leadership, funders, and programme teams, while providing technical direction to data analysts and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead theM&E strategy and analytical agenda, including results frameworks, indicators, monitoring systems, outcome measurement, evaluation, and data quality.
- Analyse complex, multi-partner datasets to identifytrends, anomalies, performance gaps, risks, and their underlying drivers.
- Connect programme implementation, outputs, and outcomes to determine whether programmes and partners are on track and identify areas requiring intervention.
- Provide technical direction and quality assurance todata analysts and data engineers, including data structures, pipelines, data quality, and analytical requirements.
- Personally query, validate, and interrogate datasets using appropriate analytical methods.
- Translate analysis intoconcise, decision-focused insights, recommendations, reports, and presentationsfor senior leadership and funders.
- Proactively identify emerging programme risks, opportunities, and performance issues and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and build the analytical capabilities of the Data Insights team.
- Develop and maintain analytical, reporting, and data-quality standards and reusable tools/templates.
- ApplyAI toolsto support analysis, synthesis, data quality, and reporting while independently validating all AI-assisted outputs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.
- 6–8 years’ experiencein M&E, applied analytics, data science, or a related field, ideally within programme, public health, development, or donor-funded environments.
- Strong expertise inM&E frameworks, indicator design, monitoring systems, outcome measurement, evaluation, and data quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience working with complex, multi-partner datasets.
- StrongSQLskills, including the ability to write and review queries and work effectively with data engineers.
- Proficiency inExcel and Power BIor comparable BI/visualisation tools.
- Proficiency inR, Stata, Python, or another statistical/analytical tool.
- Strong ability to translate complex data intoclear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Experience providing technical direction, mentorship, or quality assurance to analysts or technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to connect data findings toprogramme implementation and decision-making.
- Practical experience usingAI tools for analysis and reporting, with strong validation and independent judgement.
- Postgraduate qualification in M&E, Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field is an advantage.
