Job Summary

  • We are seeking a competent and responsible Mini Truck Driver with practical knowledge of automotive and basic engineering systems.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials, components, tools, and other company items while ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained and operated in accordance with company and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company mini trucks for the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel as assigned.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Identify and report basic vehicle faults and maintenance needs promptly.
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams when vehicle issues arise.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle condition.
  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good operating condition.
  • Comply with all traffic laws, company procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Report accidents, breakdowns, or other incidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform other driving and logistics duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE / WAEC / NECO or equivalent.
  • Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence appropriate for the vehicle category.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a manufacturing, automobile, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Practical knowledge of automobile engineering and basic vehicle maintenance is required.
  • Ability to identify common mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
  • Good knowledge of road safety rules and routes within Ogun State and surrounding areas.
  • Responsible, punctual, physically fit, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
