About This Role

• We are hiring Online English Teachers based in Nigeria to teach students globally through leading online tutoring platforms such as Preply, Cambly, iTalki, Outschool, and more.
• You will deliver engaging English lessons — including conversational English, grammar, writing, pronunciation, and exam preparation — to students of varying ages and proficiency levels. Lessons are conducted remotely via video call.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to international students on assigned online platforms
• Prepare structured lesson plans tailored to each student’s level and goals
• Deliver lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversation
• Help students prepare for English proficiency exams (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, etc.)
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain a professional and encouraging learning environment
• Manage your schedule and bookings on the platform
• Communicate clearly with students and parents when applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field
• Teaching experience (formal or tutoring) of 1+ years
• Excellent spoken and written English with clear pronunciation
• Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and language structure
• Experience with ESL/EFL teaching methodologies is a plus
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification preferred
• Patient, engaging, and adaptable teaching style
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
• Quiet, professional home workspace with good lighting
• Comfortable using video conferencing tools
