Job Overview

  • The Account Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, monitoring payments and expenses, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the smooth operation of the company’s accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, cash transactions, and other financial accounts.
  • Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation and approval.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and other staff-related payments when required.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audits and provide required financial documents and information.
  • Perform other accounting duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Education: HND / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.
