Maintenance Manager

United Geophysical (Nigeria) Limited is Nigeria’s oldest oil service company having began operations in the western Niger Delta in the early 1960’s and incorporated as a limited liability company in 1971. The company has over 50 years of continuous operations specialising in land and swamp 2D, 3D and 4D seismic data acquisition and has conducted seismic surveys for all the major oil companies operating in Nigeria.

Description

• United Geophysical (Nigeria) Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
• This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across the facility.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance schedules effectively.
• Work closely with other departments to support production and facility needs.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, or industrial)
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry is an advantage.
• Ability to lead a team and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
