Position Overview
- As an Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, inventory management, and operational compliance.
- You will work closely with management to ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies while identifying areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of financial statements, inventory records, and operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and schedules tailored to retail operations.
- Identify discrepancies, potential fraud, or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Monitor cash flow activities, sales records, and inventory transactions to detect anomalies.
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Stay updated with regulatory requirements and retail industry standards to ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ICAN
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and financial systems is an added advantage.
