Job Description

Position Overview

  • As an Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, inventory management, and operational compliance.
  • You will work closely with management to ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal policies while identifying areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of financial statements, inventory records, and operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement audit plans, procedures, and schedules tailored to retail operations.
  • Identify discrepancies, potential fraud, or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor cash flow activities, sales records, and inventory transactions to detect anomalies.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements and retail industry standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ICAN
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and financial systems is an added advantage.
