Job Summary
We are looking for a talented account officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, conducting financial analysis and reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Sage, and other accounting software, and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Review expenses, payroll records, etc.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure financial goals are met
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Any other job that may be assigned to by management
Requirements
- BSc or HND in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Sage, and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
