Job Summary

• A Sales Cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently, handling payments, and providing friendly, courteous service at the point of sale.
• The cashier plays a key role in creating a positive customer experience and safeguarding the company’s cash and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Scan items, enter product codes, and ring up sales using the POS system
• Accept cash, card, mobile, and other payment methods, and give correct change
• Issue receipts, process refunds, exchanges, and voids according to store policy
• Count the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift
• Reconcile daily sales totals and report any discrepancies
• Prepare cash deposits and secure money according to company procedures
• Detect counterfeit notes and report suspicious transactions
• Greet customers warmly and respond to inquiries about products and prices
• Bag or package purchased items carefully
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well stocked with bags, receipt paper, and supplies.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 1 – 2 years’ experience.
