Job Summary

  • The Medical Laboratory Technician will work under the guidance and supervision of laboratory scientists,
  • performing specialized testing,
  • recording results and data,
  • maintaining equipment,
  • and ensuring adherence to laboratory and patient information protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze specimens to assist in disease diagnosis.
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces.
  • Prepare and package samples for transfer according to safety protocols.
  • Receive, label, and organize patient samples.
  • Transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering inquiries and organizing reports.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Medical Laboratory Technology certificate and a valid license to practice.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
