Role Summary

  • We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to lead and accelerate our growth initiatives within strategic business units.
  • This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong business acumen, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to identify and convert new opportunities across real estate, investment financial services and related sectors in line with our strategic growth agenda.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing business growth strategies, expanding market presence, cultivating partnerships, and driving revenue across the Company’s diverse portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth Planning: Design and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with organizational goals and unlock new revenue streams.
  • Market & Opportunity Identification: Research, analyse and prioritise market opportunities, emerging sectors, competitor landscape, and client needs to inform strategic engagement.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Build and nurture strong pipelines of prospects and strategic partners through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders including clients, investors, real estate developers, financial institutions, and partners.
  • Partnerships & Deals: Lead negotiations, draft and present proposals, and close high-value deals that deliver sustainable value to the company.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to tailor solutions, shape commercial offerings, and ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present business performance reports, forecasts, analysis and insights to senior leadership.
  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at industry events, business forums, investment conferences and networking functions.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends in investment and real estate, regulatory developments, customer behaviours and incorporate findings into growth planning.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Real Estate, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in business development, sales or relationship management preferably in real estate, investment financial services, asset management or related sectors.
  • Strong track record demonstrating measurable revenue growth and successful client acquisitions.
  • Deep understanding of the investment landscape, real estate markets and financial services ecosystem within Africa.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and business development software is an advantage.
