Job Summary

  • Our client is currently seeking an experienced Restuarant / Floor Manager to lead our back-of-house operations.
  • The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations within the cafeteria which includes monitoring vendors, overseeing cleaners, maintaining order, and ensuring hygiene compliance during service hours.

 

Job Description

  • The Restaurant / Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a shared cafeteria environment.
  • This role focuses on coordinating vendors, maintaining order, enforcing hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service flow.
  • This is a supervisory role that emphasizes operations, compliance, and coordination, rather than direct food preparation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Resume duty at 6:00 AM to oversee opening activities.
  • Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of kitchen and service areas.
  • Supervise vendor setup and ensure compliance with assigned zones.
  • Coordinate vendor activities to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Enforce proper storage practices and prevent cross-usage between vendors.
  • Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all areas.
  • Ensure washing stations are efficiently utilized and not congested.
  • Maintain clean, dry, and obstruction-free walkways and service areas.
  • Identify and address expired or improperly stored food items.
  • Supervise cleaning staff and ensure adherence to cleaning schedules.
  • Perform routine checks during service hours to maintain order.
  • Handle vendor coordination and resolve minor conflicts where necessary.
  • Conduct end-of-day inspections before closing.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of operations and compliance in logbooks.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant operations, or facility supervision.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Good coordination and people-management skills.
  • Ability to enforce rules firmly and diplomatically.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to resume early and work in a structured environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage).
  • Experience managing multi-vendor or shared spaces.
  • Basic conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with daily reporting and operational logbooks.
