Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s compliance framework.
- Maintain a comprehensive compliance program, including written policies, procedures and standards of conduct. Implement corrective action plans to resolve any compliance vulnerabilities.
- Develop and foster a strong understanding of compliance across all departments.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on all compliance-related matters while ensuring that compliance priorities are maintained.
- Liaise with external regulatory authorities with a proactive approach towards regulatory requirements
Requirements
Preferred candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law, Finance or Business.
- Compliance certifications such as Certified Compliance Officer (CCO), Certified Compliance and Ethics certification(s) would be an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of experience in Compliance, AML, ABC and risk management.
- A minimum of 4 years experience in a microfinance bank is preferred.
- A proven track record in providing strategic compliance leadership and external regulatory liaison.
