Job Summary

  • The Architect will be responsible for the conceptualization, design development, documentation, and on-site supervision of architectural projects.
  • The role requires overseeing projects from inception through completion, ensuring design integrity, regulatory compliance, quality control, and timely delivery within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design & Planning:

  • Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed drawings.
  • Prepare presentation materials including 2D drawings, 3D models, and renderings.
  • Produce working drawings, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with statutory regulations, building codes, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants during design development.
  • Review and revise designs based on client feedback and project constraints.

Project Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed BOQs, material specifications, and design reports.
  • Assist in tender documentation and contractor selection.
  • Review contractor drawings and shop drawings for compliance with design intent.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all project records.

Project Supervision & Site Management:

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Supervise contractors and subcontractors to maintain compliance with timelines.
  • Identify and resolve design and construction issues promptly.
  • Certify completed works for payment in collaboration with the quantity surveyor.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards on site.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical updates.
  • Support regulatory approvals and inspections.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and planning regulations.
  • Monitor quality control standards during construction.
  • Maintain high professional and ethical standards in all project activities.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Professional registration (e.g., ARCON & NIA) is a must
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural design and site supervision.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, or similar software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials.
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
