Job Summary

  • Receive and process customer payments accurately and promptly.
  • Contact customers to remind them of due and overdue payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments through phone calls, SMS, email, or other approved channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update payment records and customer information in the system.
  • Reconcile payment transactions and report any discrepancies.
  • Provide customers with payment information, account balances, and repayment schedules.
  • Escalate unresolved payment issues or delinquent accounts to the appropriate team.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly payment collection reports.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and payment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support customer service by addressing payment-related inquiries and complaints professionally.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE.
  • Previous experience in collections, loan recovery, customer service, banking, microfinance, financial services or credit control is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and loan management systems.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolute conflicts professionally and tactfully.
  • Knowledge of debt collection procedures and loan recovery processes.
  • Good analytical and problem – solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accurate record – keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collection / CRM software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.

  • KPI Bonus of N50,000 – N200,000
