Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze bookkeeping and accounting information for internal use.
- Prepare initial drafts of accounting records of transactions as specified by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, and related records.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Maintain historical financial records and accounting documentation.
- Pay vendors by scheduling payment vouchers and processing payments accordingly.
- Monitor account balances and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting audit processes when required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or finance-related roles.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
