Tax & Audit Officer

Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited was incorporated as a response to the emerging trends in the dynamic Oil & Gas industry. We are a wholly indigenous company and registered player in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sectors of the Oil & Gas industry.

Job Summary

• We are hiring a detail-oriented and technically strong Tax & Audit Accountant to ensure full tax compliance, support audits, and maintain financial accuracy in a structured corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE and other statutory returns
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws and IFRS
• Liaise with tax authorities and manage audits
• Maintain accurate tax documentation and reconciliations
• Support financial reporting and tax planning initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 2:1 in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2–4 years’ experience in Tax & Audit (oil servicing experience is an advantage)
• ICAN or ACCA (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws
• Proficiency in Sage, SAP, QuickBooks or similar.
