Safety Officer

Bretty Consultancy Services, an HR and Business consultancy firm, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of a Safety Officer.

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced and skilled Safety Officer to provide safety services to our steel and mills industry.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, identifying hazards, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Provide safety training to employees
• Investigate accidents and incidents
• Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure safety compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in safety roles, preferably in the steel and mills industry
• Familiarity with Nigerian safety regulations and standards
• Certification in safety management (e.g., NIOSH, OSHA)
• Excellent computer skills.
• Interested should have practical experience using Excel, Microsoft Word and PPT
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
