Job Description

• The Mathematics/English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that promote academic excellence and support students’ intellectual and personal development.
• The role requires effective classroom management, curriculum delivery, and a commitment to nurturing students in line with the school’s values.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics or English Language effectively at Nursery, Primary, or Secondary level (as applicable).
• Prepare lesson plans in line with approved curriculum and school standards.
• Deliver engaging, learner-centered lessons that improve understanding and performance.
• Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations (where applicable).
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents on students’ progress when required.
• Uphold school policies, values, and professional ethics.

Educational Qualification

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or related discipline
• NCE holders may be considered (especially for Nursery/Primary levels)
• PGDE and TRCN certification are added advantages.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–3 years teaching experience (fresh graduates may be considered)
• Experience in a private school environment is an advantage
• Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO (for Secondary level) is an advantage:
