Petromech is a Kaduna-based company in Nigeria specializing in waste management, with a primary focus on producing base oils and engine oils from used lubricants. The company also operates a 2,500 m² workshop equipped to handle a wide range of mechanical maintenance, repair, and fabrication services.

 

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly professional and versatile candidate to serve in a combined role as Business Development Manager and Executive Assistant. The successful candidate will support executive management while also contributing to business growth, sales coordination, client relations, and administrative operations.
  • Our company operates in industrial manufacturing, including lubricants production from waste oil recycling and mechanical workshop operations involving pressure vessels and industrial equipment. Experience in similar industrial or manufacturing environments will be considered a strong advantage.
  • This role requires excellent organizational skills, professional presentation, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to represent the company effectively in meetings, business discussions, and client relations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support including scheduling, meeting coordination, and administrative follow-up.
  • Attend meetings, prepare minutes, track action points, and ensure proper reporting.
  • Support business development initiatives, product sales activities, and client relationship management.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, proposals, and business correspondence.
  • Coordinate communication between management, clients, and internal departments.
  • Conduct market research and assist management with strategic business insights.
  • Provide administrative support to ongoing projects and operational activities when required.
  • Represent the company professionally in business interactions.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Must have 5–7 years of experience in business development, executive assistance, sales coordination, or management support roles.
  • Experience in industrial production, lubricants, recycling, manufacturing, or pressure vessel/mechanical workshop environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and strong corporate representation skills.
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and business communication tools.
