Job Summary
- The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the company’s logistics department.
- This includes managing the distribution of goods, ensuring efficient customer service, and overseeing all shipping processes.
- The Logistics Supervisor will be a key leader in developing and implementing strategies and plans to improve department efficiency and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all shipping, receiving, and distribution operations
- Work closely with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, customer service, and cost savings
- Manage the logistics staff and coordinate scheduling and workloads
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, and adjust ordering and storage accordingly
- Track order fulfillment, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 2 years of prior experience in a supervisory role in logistics or related field
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
