Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor power generation equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electricity production.
- Respond to changes in electricity demand by adjusting controls and optimizing plant operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment, including alternators, transformers, and motors.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, performance data, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, beverages, or packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of power plant operations, including principles of alternator washing, transformer function, substation changeover procedures, basic field electrical principles, and motor preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
